Cancer jab produces complete tumour eradication in some advanced head and neck cancers

“Cancer jab can eradicate entire tumours in patients, trial shows”
This is probably the strongest “there is real progress” story. An international trial of amivantamab in advanced head and neck cancer found significant tumour shrinkage in 43 of 102 patients, with 15 patients experiencing complete tumour eradication. Importantly, the trial included people whose cancers had already resisted chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
It demonstrates that treatment is moving beyond simply accepting that recurrent or resistant disease has few options.
